At the invitation of Professor Wenli Chen and Professor Mashujin Lai from the School of Civil Engineering, Professor Guanming Lin, Director of the Environmental Aerodynamics Laboratory at the State Key Joint Laboratory of Environmental Simulation and Pollution Control, will visit the School of Civil Engineering to give a report and conduct academic exchanges.

Introduction of the Speaker:

Guanming Lin received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees from Peking University. He is a senior engineer at the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Peking University, and currently serves as Director of the Environmental Aerodynamics Laboratory at the State Key Joint Laboratory of Environmental Simulation and Pollution Control, as well as Director of the Wind Tunnel Laboratory at the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Peking University. He is a committee member of the Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics Committee of the Chinese Aerodynamics Research Society, an expert on the Science and Technology Ethics Teaching Committee of the Ministry of Education, and a reviewer for several domestic core journals. Professor Lin was a key translator of the first Chinese edition of Environmental Ethics and author of works such as An Introduction to Environmental Ethics. He has led or participated in nearly 100 scientific research projects, completed over 60 research reports, and published more than 30 academic papers. He worked at the University of Melbourne for one year, teaching courses on experimental environmental aerodynamics, environmental mathematical modeling, and an introduction to environmental ethics.
