Leaders and scholars from our university attending the discussion included Academician Ma Jun of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Guangzhi, Vice Dean of the Undergraduate College and Director of the Teaching Research and Quality Management Office, Chen Chuan, Deputy Director of the Domestic Cooperation Office, Chen Wenli, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering, Dong Zejiao, Dean of the School of Transportation Science and Engineering, Wu Yue and Zhou Wei, Vice Deans of the School of Civil Engineering, Wei Liangliang, Vice Dean of the School of Environment, and Chen Jianfei, Vice Dean of the School of Architecture and Design, among others.

Both sides primarily exchanged views on areas such as resilient cities, urban renewal, environmental governance, beautiful countryside development, new residential construction, transportation infrastructure, and public infrastructure development. Academician Ma Jun introduced the new urban health concept of green, low-carbon, ecological, healthy, smart, and safe. Leaders from the participating schools introduced their respective research fields and scientific achievements, and shared information on the practical application of research outcomes in areas such as venues and hotels for the Asian Winter Games, indoor odor, formaldehyde, VOC, and mold removal for home decoration, as well as high-quality direct drinking water supply in residential communities. Lyu Hongfeng stated that Harbin Institute of Technology is a comprehensive research-intensive university with international perspective, possessing strong research capabilities and unique educational philosophy, and has achieved remarkable results in the field of civil engineering. He expressed hope for future university-enterprise cooperation in areas such as collaborative research, product development, talent cultivation, and engineering construction.

Through the discussion, both sides reached preliminary cooperation intentions on matters including jointly establishing research centers for future green and low-carbon urban development and urban renewal, indoor air quality management, enterprise talent cultivation, and establishing a regular consultation mechanism.
