On the afternoon of December 11, the School of Civil Engineering held its 2025 Annual Summary Meeting and the Leadership Performance and Integrity Review Meeting in the School auditorium. Members of the School leadership team delivered on-site reports, and all faculty and staff attended. The meeting was chaired by Wang Yuyin, Secretary of the School Party Committee.
In accordance with higher-level requirements for the annual assessment of leading groups and leading officials, members of the leadership team conducted a comprehensive review of their respective areas of responsibility and presented individual reports on performance as well as compliance with integrity and discipline requirements.
In the School’s annual work report, Dean Chen Wenli provided an overall summary of achievements made throughout this year, including discipline development, talent cultivation, faculty development, scientific research, international cooperation, the work of the faculty congress and labor union, alumni engagement, and campus and facilities development. He also analyzed the broader context facing the School and the challenges in its development, outlined key priorities for 2026, and reported on the School’s financial performance. Party Secretary Wang Yuyin delivered the School Party Committee work report, summarizing efforts to strengthen political development, enhance Party building, and advance full and strict self-governance of the Party. He also reported on feedback from inspection and supervision as well as progress in implementing corrective actions, and underscored disciplinary and regulatory requirements in areas such as research integrity, the high-quality and efficient advancement of research projects, and the compliant and appropriate use of research funds.
Subsequently, Vice Dean Zhou Wei and Tang Liang, and Deputy Party Secretary Ji Xinyu, presented their individual performance and integrity reports in light of their respective responsibilities and core duties.
At last of the meeting, Zhou Wei, member of the School Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commissioner, communicated warning-education cases to the faculty and staff, guiding them to strengthen their sense of responsibility, deepen learning of Party discipline and regulations, uphold research integrity, advance research projects with high quality and efficiency, and ensure the proper and compliant use of research funds.
