On May 14, 2023, the founding ceremony of Alumni Association of School of Civil Engineering Xiamen Branch was successfully held at Hao Sheng Hotel of Jimei Lake of Xiamen. Wang Yuyin, President of School of Civil Engineering of HIT; Wu Zhifeng, former Vice President; Shi Jinglan, former Deputy Secretary of Party Committee; Liu Guangyi, Vice President of School of Civil Engineering Alumni Association; Xu Pengju, Secretary General of School of Civil Engineering Alumni Association; Zhao Bin, Director of Heilongjiang Office in Xiamen; Yao Ligang, President of Fujian Alumni Association; Zhang Shiping, executive Vice President; Huang Weiping, Secretary General of School of Civil Engineering Alumni Association; Xu Chao, Secretary General of School of Civil Engineering Alumni Association of Xiamen; Chu Shaojun, executive President of Inner Mongolia Alumni Association of HIT, and Guan Zhuang, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Alumni Association attended the meeting upon invitation.

Wu Jianfa, Secretary General of Alumni Association of School of Civil Engineering Xiamen Branch of HIT, introduced the leaders and guests at the meeting. Then, Mr. Rui Daoqiang, Deputy Secretary General of the Alumni Association Xiamen Branch of the School of Civil Engineering, made a report on the preparatory work, and read out the association's constitution and organizational structure. The assembly reviewed and approved the membership list, the first board of Directors and the secretariat list. Wei Yali, the Class 89 alumnus of Harbin Institute of Technology, is the president of the first Board of Directors, Chen Weifeng is the executive Vice President, Wu Jianming is the Vice President, Xu Pengju is the Supervisor, and Wu Jianfa is the Secretary General. President Wang Yuyin conferred the award to Xiamen Branch of Alumni Association of School of Civil Engineering of HIT.

At the meeting, Xu Pengju, Secretary General of the Alumni Association of the School of Civil Engineering, HIT University, read the decision on establishing the Xiamen Branch of the Alumni Association of the School of Civil Engineering of HIT University and the Letter on agreeing to the record of the Civil Branch of the Alumni Association of HIT Xiamen. Afterwards, Wang Yuyin, President of the School of Civil Engineering of HIT awarded the Xiamen Branch of the Alumni Association of the School of Civil Engineering of HIT. At the same time, the first President Wei Yali, executive Vice President Chen Weifeng, Vice President Wu Jianming, Secretary General Wu Jianfa and so on issued the letter of appointment. Subsequently, President Wang Yuyin encouraged all alumni to work hard and innovate actively with the development history of the School of Civil Engineering of HIT to carry forward the spirit of strict specification and great effort of HIT.

Xu Chao, Secretary General of the Alumni Association of HIT Xiamen, expressed warm congratulations on the official establishment of the Xiamen Branch of the Alumni Association of the School of Civil Engineering of HIT on behalf of the Xiamen Alumni Association. He said in his speech that the Alumni Association can unite alumni of different ages and become an important group to promote exchanges and cooperation between alumni.
